Field Day 2012 will be held at once again Fallowfield Park with a higher location and larger pavilion, it is a great location and there is always a lot of good food. It’s always a great time for ham and non ham alike. So be sure to join us, June 23rd and 24th 2012. Check back here for more information as that time approaches.

The Mon Valley Century Bicycle Tour for 2011 is now in the history books, and despite the bad weather the night before it was a success. Made possible thanks to some determined riders and very dedicated and hard working members, whom gave of their time to make this another safe and enjoyable ride.
The new 2012 Mon Valley Century Bicycle Tour website is now up and active at www.monvalleycentury.org .
Plans are also coming together for MARCFest 2012, our annual hamfest & computer show, On Sept. 30th . Once again this year will be held at the Rostraver Central Fire Hall. It's a very nice place with a large hall, plenty of parking and all on one level. And as always there will be plenty of good food, and free coffee all day. Don't forget about the Echolink node. It's now available 24/7 and has been getting quite a bit of use. It can be accessed from your home computer or smart phone, just enter the node number 544643 or wb3ccn-r, its that simple to access the 147.225 repeater from anywhere you have an Internet connection. Hopefully in the near future you will be able to link to other repeaters across the country by using a touch-tone pad on your radio or hand held.
The Monessen Amateur Radio Club is located in Monessen, PA. The club currently has over 65 members. If you would like to join, or get information about the club, there is a monthly meeting at the Mon Valley Emergency Medical Services. Monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 7:30 PM. You can download and print out a membership application, if needed. Testing is held at 7:00 PM,
The Monessen Amateur Radio Club meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Mon Valley Emergency Medical Services 1001 Donner Ave. Monessen, Pa. 15062 in Their training room, this is an excellent facility right in downtown Monessen. We would like to thank these fine people for the use of their training room.
