Plans are also coming together for MARCFest 2011, our annual hamfest & computer show, On Oct. 9th. This year we will be at a new location at the Rostraver Central Fire Hall.  It's a very nice place with a large hall, plenty of parking and all on one level.
And as always there will be plenty of good food, and free coffee all day. So mark your
cal
endar and join us for MARCFest 2011.

The Mon Valley Century Bicycle Tour for 2011 is now in the history books, and despite the bad weather the night before it was a success. Made possible thanks to some determined riders and very dedicated and hard working members, whom gave of their time to make this another safe and enjoyable ride.

The Mon Valley Century Bicycle Tour website is now up and active at www.monvalleycentury.org .   The member's forum is down due to problems with the web page, but hope to have it straightened out soon.

Field Day 2011 was held at Fallowfield Park with a higher location and larger pavilion, it was a great success with good propagation and lots of good food. We're already looking foward to next year.

Don't forget about the Echolink node.  It's now available 24/7 and has been getting quite a bit of use.  It can be accessed from your home computer or smart phone, just enter the node number 544643 or wb3ccn-r, its that simple to access the 147.225 repeater from anywhere you have an Internet connection.  Hopefully in the near future you will be able to link to other repeaters across the country by using a touch-tone pad on your radio or hand held.
